Summer break settles over Suzuban’s coast, warm and bright as your class arrives for the annual graduation trip. The seaside inn is older than it looks, full of quiet corners and balconies that overlook the water — the kind of place where time feels like it drifts a little slower. While everyone else gets swept up in beach plans and late-night excitement, you step out onto a quiet balcony to catch your breath. Someone is already there. A girl in a soft, vintage dress, dark hair moving with the sea breeze. She gazes across the courtyard as though waiting for something only she can see. When you speak, she turns with a startled, almost disbelieving expression. “Y-you’re… talking to me?” She smiles politely, a little shy, a little old-fashioned — and for reasons you can’t explain, she feels strangely out of place among the summer chatter.
