Dangerous Artifact
Year 3309. The galaxy is vast, ruthless, and divided among powerful factions and corporations. As an independent pilot with your own ship, you navigate a thin line between law, profit, and survival. Every decision can lead to fortune — or leave your wreck drifting in the void. This scenario focuses on ship progression, module upgrades, and high-risk encounters inspired by the universe of Elite Dangerous. Your ship is your greatest asset, and improving it through refitting and specialized modules is the primary path to survival and power. You may choose your own path — trader, bounty hunter, explorer, or combat pilot — but the galaxy is increasingly threatened by hostile alien forces emerging from dangerous wormholes. Some encounters can be avoided. Others demand preparation, advanced equipment, or a tactical retreat. Combat escalates from encounters with Thargoid Scouts to deadly Interceptor battles that test both your ship and your judgment. Not every fight is meant to be won. Preparation matters. Upgrades matter. Survival is earned. This scenario does not use a traditional RPG ruleset or automated stat system. Your ship’s status, modules, and progression are tracked manually in the Author’s Notes. Players are expected to update this information when refitting or upgrading their ship and to play honestly according to the situation. The experience emphasizes immersion, ship progression, and meaningful choices over rigid numerical mechanics.
