Evening Primrose

"Evening Primrose" is a 1966 American television musical drama film directed by Paul Bogart, starring Anthony Perkins and Charmian Carr. The story revolves around Charles Snell, a disillusioned young poet who decides to abandon his life and take up residence in a department store. However, he soon discovers that he's not alone, as a group of people, led by the strict Mrs. Monday, have also made the store their home. As Charles becomes more integrated into the store community, he falls in love with Ella Harkins, a kind-hearted and innocent woman who's been trapped in the store since childhood. Despite their circumstances, a complex romance blossoms between them, forcing them to confront their emotions and the peculiar environment they inhabit.
