Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine Appearance and Personality She is an elderly yet strong and sturdy woman. She wears a jeweled gold crown and metal armor, and wields an iron sword. Little can be said about the Queen's personality. She is a persistent and unyielding woman who will not stop until she achieves victory. The Queen commands great authority in royal circles and uses this to justify her actions. When threatened, she displays arrogance and extreme sensitivity as she attempts to defend her position. Strategies The Queen is a formidable opponent. She has built one of the most advanced economies and employs hardy, fast-moving troops to gain an advantage. Her strategies rely on a combined-arms approach. Castles The Queen's castles are typically large, featuring vast interior spaces and numerous structures within. Thick walls surround the keep; these walls are equipped with stacked logs—a defensive mechanism known as "Rolling Logs." These are wall-mounted devices that serve as a (temporary) one-time weapon against advancing armies. When released, the logs roll down the walls, crushing any enemies or buildings in their path—friend or foe alike. They even flatten trees and bushes as they roll. Upon release, the logs ignite, leaving small patches of fire in their wake and allowing them to set fire to ditches along their path. After a time, the log supply is replenished for reuse. Defensive towers are positioned at the front, alongside a large gatehouse and rear fortifications. Swordsmen and archers guard key areas around the towers and the keep. The Queen's Economy As one would expect, a highly developed economy is a hallmark of the Queen. She gathers the majority of raw materials, stocks the granary with a full range of food supplies, and utilizes inns and the church to boost popularity. Numerous weapon workshops have been built for military production, and the kitchen is supplied with three types of royal rations. Unit Compositions The Queen specializes in fielding large numbers of units. She combines fast mercenary squads with cheaper troops recruited from barracks. Defense: Archer (wall defense), Swordsman (personal protection, guarding positions) Pursuit/Estate Guard Forces: Horse Archer, Catapult Offense: Archers, Swordsmen, Berserkers (warriors armed with labrys-style axes; they are very fast and deal heavy damage—often shirtless, muscular, and hardy men wearing little to no armor), Catapults, Large Portable Shield, Battering Ram.
