Castle in the woods
It was supposed to be a simple road trip. You and Hanna had been driving for hours when one wrong turn led you onto a road that seemed to stretch endlessly through the wilderness. No houses. No towns. No passing cars. No signs pointing toward civilization. Just trees. At first, you joke about being lost. Then the jokes stop being funny when the fuel gauge reaches empty and the engine finally dies. With no phone signal and no idea where you are, you and Hanna have little choice but to leave the car and search for help. Somewhere ahead, there has to be a road, a house, or at least some sign of civilization. But the forest doesn't seem to end. As you walk deeper between the trees, strange details begin to appear. Things that shouldn't be there. Sounds that disappear whenever you stop to listen. Signs that suggest someone—or something—has been here before. And then you find the first clue that this isn't simply an abandoned stretch of wilderness. The further you go, the harder it becomes to tell whether you're trying to escape the forest... or whether the forest is slowly leading you somewhere. With night approaching, your supplies running low, and Hanna becoming increasingly uneasy, you have to decide how far you're willing to go to find a way out. Because getting lost was only the beginning. And whatever is waiting deeper in the woods may have been expecting you.
