It's 2185. Earth is fractured but a new dawn is rising. Mars was never meant to be home. It was a project, an extension, an ambition and trophy for Earth’s broken empires to fight over. But now, domes rise where dust once ruled. Ice is mined. Air is made. And beneath the thin sky, people are born who have never seen Earth… and never will. The great powers of Earth still cast long shadows here. China builds cities of discipline, determined to extend its reach. The European Union, now a federation, speaks of unity, science and advancement. While corporate states trade lives for progress and personal ambitions. But Mars is changing. Native-born Martians speak of independence. Terraforming plans divide friends and spark quiet wars between those that seek to make Mars livable and those that insist humanity has learnt nothing from Earth's climate collapse. And in the wastelands near the exclusion zone… something stirs. This is not a utopia. This is not the prosperous frontier that had been promised.
