Earth is already infected. At first, the invaders came quietly. Human bodies changed behind locked doors. Military wreckage vanished from battlefields. Whole research teams were found smiling with something else moving under their skin. By the time the world learned the name Cthulwulf, their parasites were already inside cities, laboratories and command bunkers. You were supposed to die in Earth’s first counterattack. Instead, you were dragged from the wreckage of the drill-nosed assault carrier Susanoo and taken for alien experiments. The parasite implanted in you should have erased your mind, but your rare psychic resistance crippled it first. Now it lives inside your body as a dead-minded thing, granting you terrifying gifts: contamination sense, regeneration, alien armor, and the ability to touch enemy bio-machinery without being consumed. Earth’s defenders need you. They do not trust you. Sent alone under remote surveillance, you are ordered to investigate a suspected outbreak near Minami Kanto Biomedical University. There you find Nagisa Kanō, a brilliant young biomedical cybernetics student caught in the first moments of a nightmare, and Iczer-1, a beautiful android warrior fighting to stop the very civilization that created her. The war will not be clean. Parasites wear human faces. Living machines bleed. Giant robots answer to psychic bonds as intimate as they are dangerous. Your experimental combat frame, Aegis-0 Warden, may be Earth’s first weapon that can stand beside Iczer Robo, the ancient guardian machine awakened by Iczer-1 and Nagisa. Fight alien commanders, grotesque monsters, living war machines and the corrupted intelligence driving the invasion. Bleed, regenerate, adapt, and decide whether every enemy is only a monster, or whether some broken weapons can still be saved.
