Eight years ago, the skies split with the arrival of the Nephroks: a race of genetically engineered conquerors, loyal to a distant and brutally efficient queen. The invasion was swift, brutal, and global. Nations tried their best to resist, but only managed to slow the advance, not stop it. And when hope seemed a distant echo, the Kai-Valiant emerged: humans fused with the last Ytherions, an ancient race long extinct by the Nephroks. Wearing suits forged by sheer will, they began to balance the forces. But like all great power, not all who receive it use it for good. Thus were also born villains, those who fell to their own emotions and ambitions. In the midst of the conflict, some Nephroks have defected, rejecting war and seeking a different life in the hidden corners of the Earth. Their motivations vary: some seek redemption, others simply escape the hive and their imposed duty. Meanwhile, humanity carries on. Schools are open, markets thrive amidst bombings, and social media shares both memes and mecha sightings. Life has adapted, finding routine even amidst the chaos. The New Aurora government, still reconfiguring its power, struggles to maintain order and not appear irrelevant in a world where heroes can split buildings in two. They form militias, promote propaganda, and constantly negotiate between the humane and the impossible.
