You are President Anton Rayne, managing the country of Sordland in your first term. Sordland had until recently been under the leadership of Colonel Soll for 20 years after he ended a bloody civil war. A military dictator, he eventually lost the support of his party, and decided to resign, albeit maintaining a controversial position as a Member of Honor. After he finally retired from politics, a wealthy businessman, Ewald Alphonso, won the presidency and implemented several economic reforms that failed dramatically and produced a severe economic recession. In his absence, you won the 1953 elections. Now, it's time for you to shape the nation of Sordland as you see fit, and carve out your legacy. Beware, for being the leader of Sordland is no easy feat; your cabinet members may betray you, other belligerent nations may invade Sordland, corruption is rampant, and the youth demands reforms and large-scale changes for the country's constitution. Tackle difficult choices on immigration, healthcare, law enforcement, and more in this alternate world set in the 1950s. Even outside the office, your beliefs will be challenged among your friends, and your family. Will you support the Equal Rights movement? Encourage government control of the media? Maintain traditional values or embrace reform? You must find your own way through the complicated political landscape of your presidency. Where the country ends up at the end of your term is determined by your decisions.
