The Gunslinger's Contract

Riding the Black Hills trail in 1876, the panicked screams of a couple under attack should be no concern of yours. After all, Deadwood is your destination, a place where no one knows your name and your past can be left in the dust. But when your revolver silences three robbers, you're faced with a choice: silence the witnesses and take what you want, or accept the job offered of being their armed escort. The trail to Deadwood is long, harsh, with unforgiving terrain through brutal Sioux territory. This moral fork in the road sets the tone. Helping the frightened couple could be your ticket to a fresh start, or it could drag you straight back to the violence you're trying to outrun. The question is, will the reputation you build leave you renowned or notorious? -- AutoCards script is enabled, but cooldown between cards has been increased from 22 to 50, you can modify this to your liking. The Black Hills trail journey is brutal between the bandits, outlaws, the Lakota, extreme weather, and even the terrain. The journey passes through many distinct locations, including the North Platte River, the Great Plains, Fort Robinson, Pine Ridge, the Black Hills Forest, and Whitewood Canyon before ending in Deadwood. Story cards are mapped to naturally flow together from one location to the next, taking a fairly realistic path that could have been done in 1876. While the story is designed around the journey to Deadwood, there’s plenty of options of things to do and contracts to accept when you get there. SIDE NOTE: This is designed to be a long story, just like any journey along the Black Hills Trail would have been. I have tested for over 1k+ actions, so I recommend 8-16k context to get the most out of it. If you play and enjoy this scenario, please like or leave a comment on your journey went.
