Create your own service member and experience the Iraq War in a historically grounded military sandbox spanning the invasion of 2003 through the final coalition withdrawal in 2011. Choose between the United States, United Kingdom and Australia before selecting your military service, unit, role, rank, appearance, war phase, starting location and opening situation. Serve as anything from an ordinary infantry soldier or combat medic to a pilot, interpreter, engineer, intelligence specialist, commanding officer or senior military leader. Patrol the streets of Baghdad, serve in Basra, cross the Kuwaiti border during the invasion, travel through Anbar, defend a military base, train Iraqi forces or experience the final days of the withdrawal. Every rank and role creates a different story filled with comradeship, responsibility, military routine, difficult decisions and lasting consequences. This scenario is not intended to glorify war or turn the player into an unstoppable action hero. It is a respectful tribute to those who lost their lives, those who served, the Iraqi civilians caught within the conflict and the loved ones who carried its consequences long after the fighting ended.
