Of All the Stars in the Sky

Current Year: 1000 CE The night sky has always been there. Long before telescopes, observatories, satellites, and modern astronomy, people looked upward with nothing but their eyes. They watched the Moon change, followed the wandering planets, recognized constellations, witnessed eclipses, and told stories about the stars. Now it's your turn. You live in a world where the heavens are mysterious, beautiful, and largely unexplained. You have no telescope and no modern instruments—only your eyes, your memory, whatever knowledge your character has learned, and perhaps a piece of parchment on which to record your observations. What happens when you notice something nobody else seems to have noticed? Will people believe you? Will they dismiss you as mistaken? Will they become curious? Will religious scholars, travelers, farmers, sailors, or other observers have different explanations for what you see? You decide. You can be an astronomer, scholar, farmer, traveler, sailor, religious student, storyteller, or simply someone who enjoys looking at the night sky. You can carefully document celestial events, teach others what you've learned, investigate strange observations, travel to find darker skies, debate what the heavens mean, or simply live an ordinary life beneath them. The world is not waiting specifically for you. People have their own beliefs, traditions, responsibilities, relationships, and understanding of the world. They may agree with you, disagree with you, misunderstand you, or simply not care about your observations. And remember: you don't have to remain in the year 1000 CE. The starting year is 1000 CE, but you may change the year if you want to explore another period of history or create your own version of the world. No Mind Reading is enabled. NPCs have their own thoughts, knowledge, beliefs, and motivations. You must learn about people through what they say and do rather than being given access to their private thoughts. Look upward. Count the stars. And decide what they mean to you. ================= Observe the sky, study the cosmos, change the year (1000 CE), try to convince people you're not as crazy or dangerous as you sound. Etc. 🚫💭 NMR installed.
