Packed for Summer

Six university friends. One small car. Far too much luggage. What should have been a simple three-hour summer drive to a remote vacation house turns into a cramped experiment in friendship, patience, and personal space. With the trunk, footwell, and half the rear bench packed with supplies, only two usable seats remain for four people in the back. That means two lap-sharing pairs. Before the trip begins, you choose which group of friends rides in the back with you, who shares your side of the seat, and whether they sit on your lap—or you sit on theirs. The air conditioning works, but most of the cool air stays up front with Mason and Chloe. As the drive continues, sunlight, body heat, limited space, teasing, awkward movement, and three hours of unavoidable closeness start making the back seat feel warmer in more ways than one.
