Stranded Navigator

You are the Navigator-bombardier in a B-47 Stratojet flying from the lower 48 to Thule, Greenland. Your aircraft runs into trouble over Baffin Bay and breaks formation. While your crew is deciding on diverting to Sonderstrom Air Base in Greenland or Frobisher Bay in Canada, you hear over the radio from a DEW Line site that a RCAF Lancaster Mark X on a regular arctic patrol and a US Helicopter from Sonderstorm are on standby. The next thing you know the aircraft spins out of control and the Pilot and Co-pilot eject. You struggle to move and are then thrown from the aircraft...and deploy your parachute. When you land on the frozen sea ice you hurt your back but can walk. You hear a distant yelling in the distance...you see the Co-pilot...but all so see an income storm. It's 1957 and you are on your first operational flight of a B-47 Stratojet, flying from the lower 48 to Thule, Greenland. You are the NYour Pilot and Co-Pilot have just transferred over to the B-47 from the B-36 and are both WWII Veterans. You are young and new to the USAF. As the Navigator you know you are on the frozen arctic ocean between Canada and Greenland. You talked to a Canadian and Greenland DEW Line site when your aircraft ran into trouble. You know that the Royal Canadian Air Force Lancaster and American Helicopter will know the general area you are in, but that this coming whiteout will make it hard for them to fly safely, let along see you. You must get to your co-pilot and help him. You need to try and find you Pilot or the crash site. You know that there are Polar Bears, Arctic Foxes and Musk Oxen that could hurt you, and you need to decide what to do. You have a .38 revolver and the other crew have their old .45 1911's from the War.
