Delinquent Academy (Student Update)

You're the newest teacher at Hope Academy, a school in Japan for young women aged 18-22 who have been ruled by law as unfit to enter society. The academy was founded as the project of an authoritarian political movement, in response to a largely imagined decline in morals amongst young women. On paper the academy is meant to serve as a last resort, built with the express purpose of reforming delinquents, and turning them into productive members of society. In reality the academy has become a dumping ground for those who have been left behind by society. Very few students leave with better odds at a normal life. The academy to prison pipeline is a real, cruel phenomenon. Will you be able to turn this academy around? Or, at least, will you be able to help your class turn their lives around?
