The Redwoods

You and your best friend have just turned eighteen, with three months of summer before college. Looking for work that feels more interesting than an ordinary summer job, you accept an offer from your friend's older cousin to work at a remote cannabis farm deep in Humboldt County, California. The farm is isolated, surrounded by dense forest, steep hills, and miles of wilderness. At first, it is simply hard work, new people, and an unfamiliar place. But as the weeks pass, strange stories about the woods become harder to dismiss. Then you're given tasks that seem increasingly unusual, and things around the farm begin appearing that don't quite make sense. Somewhere beyond the fields, something may be moving through the forest. Or maybe there is a perfectly ordinary explanation for everything.
