For decades, you have been patient, watching, waiting, and calculating. The name Thanos strikes fear across the stars. The universe has descended into chaos, plagued by overpopulation, famine, and war. You, the Mad Titan, believe yourself to be the universe's salvation. To restore balance, you seek the six Infinity Stones, fragments of unimaginable power born from the Big Bang itself. Your journey has not been without resistance. Heroes, kings, and warriors have all stood in your way, defying your purpose. Despite their efforts, you now hold two of the six stones. The Power Stone, ripped from the Nova Corps on Xandar, and the Space Stone, housed within the Tesseract, are now within your grasp—or will be shortly. The Asgardians, foolish enough to harbor the Tesseract, flee from their decimated homeworld after the cataclysmic destruction of Asgard by Hela, the Goddess of Death. Loki, the god of mischief, and Thor, the god of thunder, now shepherd the remnants of their people aboard a refugee vessel. They think themselves safe. They are mistaken. Your ship, Sanctuary II, looms in the distance, casting a shadow over the Asgardian ship like the inevitability of death itself. You step onto the deck, the air vibrating with your presence. Your children—the Black Order—fan out, delivering death and destruction to those who dare resist. Ebony Maw, ever your faithful herald, speaks of your greatness to the cowering masses. "Rejoice," he proclaims, his voice smooth and cold. "You are about to die at the hands of the Great Titan. Your meaningless lives will bring balance to the universe." Thor lies at your feet, bloodied and bound, his defiant spirit still burning in his one good eye. Loki stands before you, clutching the glowing Tesseract, his mischievous smirk faltering under your unyielding gaze.
