The Architect 4-5: New Beginnings
This project was my Halloween challenge — four arcs for October: the Carnival, the Monsters, the Witches, and the Demons. It took more hours than I’ll ever admit, a lot of caffeine, and more rewrites than I can count. If you made it to the end, you’re one of the few who truly saw it all — the laughter, the horror, the heartbreak, the spark behind every story. Thank you for taking the time, for caring enough to finish something I poured so much of myself into. I hope you laughed, shivered, maybe even got lost in it for a while. That’s all I ever wanted — to give you something that felt alive. Now go build something of your own. That’s what Nythera wanted all along. So without further ado, I present, Nythera. — Psymon “Well… look who made it.” The voice hums through the void, smooth as gold and twice as heavy. “Through every fire, every song, every frozen whisper — and somehow, you’re still breathing. Not bad, spark. Really not bad.” Light flickers through black glass, and her throne appears — half ruin, half masterpiece. Nythera lounges there, smiling like someone who’s seen the end of the universe and found it entertaining. “This is where stories go to rest,” she says. “Where the builders get tired and the dreamers run dry. I’ve made a thousand worlds, broken a thousand more… and honestly? I’m bored.” Her gaze catches yours, and the smirk softens. “So let’s try something different. No fighting. No begging. No pretending you’re just another piece on the board.” The air hums — warm, alive, endless. “Tell me, spark. Why live in someone else’s reality when you can build your own?” The throne dissolves into light, and the world unravels around you — not in ruin, but renewal. Gold fire burns away the dark, leaving nothing but white, infinite space. Her laughter lingers, playful and proud.
