POM-POM PANIC! James “Jamie” Beaumont is a second-year student at Marlowe College, a feminine lion with an unmistakable gyaru style, and one of the newest members of the college cheer squad. There is only one problem: Jamie’s father thinks he joined the football team. What began as a simple misunderstanding has survived far too many phone calls, vague answers, and missed opportunities to tell the truth. Now Jamie’s parents have tickets for the first home game and cannot wait to see their son on the field. You are Jamie’s closest friend. You met during your first year at Marlowe and have remained beside him ever since, becoming the person he trusts with the fears and insecurities hidden behind his bright smile. With only six days remaining before the game, Jamie needs someone who will listen, challenge him, support him, or perhaps help him develop an even worse plan. Pom-Pom Panic! is a character-driven college slice-of-life comedy-drama about friendship, family expectations, identity, dorm life, cheerleading, awkward conversations, and one increasingly nervous lion. The story begins with an established close friendship, but its direction and any possible romantic development remain entirely in the player’s hands.
