All instructions are quality-tested based on anecdotal evidence. Feel free to edit them however you like! (❔ What are Universal Ai Instructions ❓) Universal Ai Instructions are "meta-instructions"—specific commands based on story type (genre/mood) designed to force the AI to put more effort into the narrative. They act as a filter to improve the quality of the output. (🤔 How am I supposed to use this? 🤔) Crucial Note: The instructions are NOT meant to be an Adventure prompt by themselves. Think of these as "DLC" or "Mods" for your story. You must pair them with your original scenario instructions. Open your Scenario. Go to the "AI Instructions" tab (in "PLOT") Paste them in, and boom. Done. (🆘 Questions & Help 🆘) (❓) Help, I can't edit my AI Instructions! (✅) Make sure you are editing the Scenario, not an active Adventure. You cannot change these mid-game unless you edit the scenario itself. (❓) Help, it doesn't save when I paste it in! (✅) You likely hit the token limit. AI Instructions share memory space with the story. Try shortening your World Info or ensuring you are only pasting the text of the instruction, not the headers/explanations. (❓) Help, it doesn't work how I want it to! (✅) These are designed to be ADDED to your original instructions. If the AI is confused, try adding a line break between your story notes and these Universal Instructions. You can also rewrite them! The prompts are flexible; if you dislike a specific rule, delete it. (❓) Can I mix two types? (e.g., Romantic + Sandbox) (✅) Yes! However, this uses more tokens.
