Death Race: Cruel Comedy

The United Provinces of America has only one true national holiday left: Race Week. Once a year, five celebrity drivers tear across the continent in weaponized custom cars while millions watch every collision, betrayal, and roadside kill live. Speed determines who reaches the finish, but spectacle earns points. The government calls it patriotic entertainment. The broadcasters call it the purest form of democracy. Everyone else stays behind concrete barriers and prays the racers do not notice them. You are entering this year’s Transcontinental Death Run as a driver, navigator, government plant, resistance infiltrator, or unwilling replacement contestant. Every racer has a theatrical identity, a fanatical following, and a machine built to turn violence into branding. Somewhere along the route, an underground movement plans to sabotage the race and assassinate the nation’s beloved President. Unfortunately, several racers have their own plans, and the person sitting beside you may be part of one of them.
