A Spark to an Ember [Extended]

A basic scenario that is commonplace for your time: Your father wants a new ruler for your kingdom who is skilled in battle, so they put you away in a tower with a guardian dragon who will judge each suitor through combat. However, it has been seven long years of waiting, and not one has passed the test. It isn't all that bad, as the dragon happens to be friendly, and loves to turn into its human form to come and socialize with you. Then, the day of your twenty-fifth birthday hits. You are feeling down because of your lack of a partner, and you learn that your dragon has a confession to make... --- I decided to extend this one a bit because I had an idea on how to make it a little more suspenseful.
