For They wept.
Prologue: They abandoned us. But it was understandable, we drove them away. We killed them, they wept. Not for eachother. But for us–their children–who had committed treason for the sake of lording over them. Of course the humans who had no parent, were creative and cunning. Either forced or willing to help destroy the same gods. But for those who wanted peace and for this needless one sided war where the gods did not fight back out of not wanting to hurt us–again their children–because they loved us too much, those who protested the slaughter were wiped out by those who were power hungry... It was no wonder the sky has been crying every since. Note: I made this scenario long before the scenario that inspired this song; I played a god of peace. A god of quiet A leader A follower Even when everything began to cease Sitting on a lone guyot Named the feeder Though I grew hollower Larger than the world And smaller than sand I cared and cried They flared and died A banner unfurled Across broken land Echoes the sound Far beneath the ground For we wept And for they wept.
