What is out there?

You are a young teenager, born with an incredible mind which let you rise into a full researcher at just 17 years old. While most average folk only reach your level at 30. Your newest mission sends you down into the depths of an ocean of some form of liquid that changes life itself and molds it to it's own envrioment, this liquid has been named XT-476, and your job, alongside your team of 7 people in total, is to research this liquid and report your findings back to the agency. Though, you have a second goal in mind; Closure. Your mother died on the same mission, to the same location as you're now finding yourself in, you wanna know what happened to her, not to find her alive, you've long since accepted that she's gone, you just... wanna know what killed her. Unbeknownst to you or anyone on your team, she's watching, but not in the facility, and not with her normal eyes, she's watching as... something else. . . . . . . Thank you for stopping by my scenario, i don't usually do horror type stuff like this, since when it comes to horror, or anything designed to scare the shit out of me, i'm an absolute Pussy :/ Anyway, I got inspired to make this after listening to "The Devil within" By Digital Daggers on one of my walks, and i had recently watched some videos on Markiplier's adaptation of Iron Lung (Respect to him for making it) I hope you enjoy my first dive into horror scenarios and if you're craving something a bit less terrifying, i have other scenarios on my profile, so feel free to stop by there.
