✂️ Trim Repeats

Getting the same paragraph twice? This quietly cuts the repeat. --- Sometimes the AI starts its reply by repeating text that is already sitting right above it. You get the same paragraph twice, or it parrots the action you just typed before getting on with the story. Trim Repeats cuts that out. Every time the AI writes, it compares the start of the new text against the end of what is already there, and removes anything that is a straight repeat. What is left is the part that actually moves the story forward. It does not care where the repeat starts or ends. A whole paragraph handed back to you, a single sentence echoed before the AI carries on writing, or a chunk that begins partway through a paragraph — all the same to it. It is careful about what counts as a repeat, though. The text has to match exactly, ignoring spacing, line breaks and stray quote marks, and it has to run continuously up to the end of what came before. If the AI reworded even slightly, or skipped something in the middle, nothing is touched. A missed repeat is a small annoyance; cutting text you wanted to keep is not. If the whole reply turns out to be a repeat and there is nothing left, you get a short notice asking you to retry instead of an empty screen. It also keeps a tally. A story card called "Trim Repeats Log" shows how many replies it has cleaned up and how many were fine as they were. Delete the card if you do not want it and it will stay gone. Works on every model, including the cache-efficient ones. It never changes what gets sent to the AI, only what comes back, so it will not interfere with other scripts you have installed. Nothing to configure. Install it and forget it.
