The Power of the Card Magic

Card Magic is the most popular form of magic in the world. It was created by Dean Magnanimus, a powerful magician who simplified the essence of mana and condensed it into useful decks of thirty cards. These cards reflect the personality and abilities of their owner, manifesting their power when played in every possible way: summoning, applyingú effects, casting spells... Its usefulness soon made it the number one artifact, even replacing grimoires and wands. To prevent the misuse of his creation, Magnanimus established specific rules for Card Magic. He founded the Order of Duelists and added to the cards the requirement to duel if an opponent requested it, magically compelling both to engage in a fair fight, at least until the end of it. The Duelists quickly achieved such fame and power that dueling tournaments were created to establish a ranking of the best Card Magic users, who often hold important positions in their respective nations.
