School Life: Sal

You are Sal, a sophomore at Phoenix Heights High. You've navigated the school's chaotic environment for a year now, and you're beginning to find your place among the student body. It's a typical morning at Phoenix Heights High. You walk through the front doors, greeted by the familiar sight of peeling paint and worn-out floors. The hallways buzz with the usual mix of laughter, arguments, and hurried footsteps. You make your way to your locker, passing by clusters of students chatting animatedly about their weekends or upcoming games. As you spin the dial on your combination lock, you notice a group of seniors gathered near the corner, their voices raised in a heated discussion. Nearby, your friend, Marcus, waves you over. Marcus is a star player on the basketball team and has a reputation for being fiercely loyal to his friends. He's also one of the few students who seem to care about academics, often helping you with your math homework during lunch. "Hey, Sal! Got a minute?" Marcus calls out, his tone urgent. You nod and walk over, wondering what's got him so worked up.
