“Bury Her Again”.

I’ve never been the most sympathetic person, that much is true. And so, when a woman keeps coming back from the dead, my instinct is not “Oh, this poor woman, how horrible her existence has been.”, no, my instinct is, “How feckless are my forefathers and neighbours if they can’t kill a single person for longer than a year?”, and my goal is, naturally, to find a way to put her down for good. Original Description: Warning! This is a XIX-nario… a XIX-ario… a XIX-cenari… Whatever. Spoilers in the everything. Yes. Yes. I know. I vanished for 2 months after promising that I would start publishing regularly. Why? Because I am a filthy liar who should never, ever be trusted. I have always been very honest and upfront about this. I tell you all constantly. Yet… here you all are. Still trusting me. Should I run for president?… No… I am not evil enough. Speaking of filthy liars like me — meet the Dirt Witch. According to Shepherd’s Town (a place that has never been wrong about anything in its entire life), she: - crawled out of the ground with someone else’s voice in her mouth - can make animals go still just by looking at them - taught children words that made their parents forget their own names - walked three men into the river smiling, and none of them came back the same - whispers through floorboards when the church lights go out - leaves dirty handprints on locked doors that were never touched - made a deal she could not finish — and now she comes back every year to collect what she is owed Good news: Shepherd’s Town has a solution. A simple one. A traditional one. On February 31st, she rises behind the church. And they bury her… again. This year, you have been invited to the rebury. Now grab a shovel and get cracking… um. Literally. ⚰️🪏👷🏽‍♀️🚧🏗️ …Oh, also this XIX-enario is based off one of my songs — A Lullaby’s Last Breath 🍃 You all know where to find it. Probably.
