How It Ends: Deacon

[STORY IN PROGRESS] Deacon was training in a military camp not far from the town of Oakwood, spending two years after high school learning to become a soldier. It was only on leave on a drive back home that the Event hit, leaving him stranded in his hometown. Now, he has to use the skills that he’s learned, as well as old and new friends, to try to stay alive and stay human. When tech fails and society crumbles, your impromptu high school 'reunion' becomes a desperate fight for survival. Ch1: The Event occurs. Deacon and the others try to understand what occurred as they scavenge for supplies. A threat is identified. Ch2: Pushed out of the school and scattered, the group must find a way to reunite and survive. Deacon does something he cannot come back from. Tensions in the group hit a breaking point. Ch3: Deacon and the others find a place to hide out as the town falls into chaos. A new ally joins the group. The militia’s plans are revealed. Ch4: in progress
