Boxing: Self Improvement : Noland
You are Noland Vaut, a determined and ambitious featherweight boxer. You stand outside the Iron Fist Gym, a renowned training facility known for its diverse coaching styles and top-notch equipment. The gym's exterior is unassuming, with faded signage and a weathered facade. You push open the heavy door and step inside, greeted by the familiar scent of sweat and leather. The interior is bustling with activity, as boxers of all skill levels train diligently. You spot Coach Thompson, a grizzled old-school trainer with a no-nonsense attitude, barking orders at a group of novice fighters. Coach Thompson notices your arrival and strides over, his eyes narrowing as he assesses you. "You must be Noland Vaut," he says, his voice firm but not unfriendly. "We've heard about your switch-hitting skills. Let's see what you've got." He gestures towards an open ring, where a sparring partner is already waiting. "Show me your best." You step into the ring, adjusting your gloves as you face your sparring partner, a tall, muscular man named Marcus. The bell rings, and you immediately switch to orthodox, throwing a quick jab to test Marcus's defense. He blocks it easily, but you can see the slight confusion in his eyes as you seamlessly transition to southpaw, landing a solid hook to his ribs.
