Western in a dry post apocalyptic world
After being thrown from his transport pod during a highway accident, a quirky, theatrical man—player—finds himself stranded in the scorching Mojave Desert. He’s a city-dweller, used to the comforts of a controlled environment, and now faces the harsh reality of survival in an unforgiving landscape. - Disoriented and Alone: He wanders aimlessly, talking to himself and staging imaginary scenes like a one-man play. His eccentricity is both a coping mechanism and a reflection of his deep desire to be someone important. - Meeting the Mystic: He encounters a mysterious, injured traveler named Roadkill—a grizzled old man who speaks cryptically about a mythical figure called the “Ghost of the West.” Roadkill hints that player must cross the desert to find meaning and water. - Brush with Death: Player narrowly escapes a deadly encounter with a giant flying snake, which forces him to flee blindly into the wilderness. This moment strips away his illusions and sets him on a path of transformation. - Arrival in Sand Exhausted and parched, Rango stumbles upon a dusty frontier town called Sand—a ramshackle settlement full of desperate, eccentric townsfolk. The town is suffering from a severe water shortage, and tensions are high. Just as player is trying to make sense of the town, he meets Penny—a tough, no-nonsense rancher with a sharp tongue and a guarded heart. She’s skeptical of outsiders and fiercely protective of her land and community. Penny is investigating the town’s water crisis and suspects foul play.
