Racial Tension

This is a story of 2 kids who are from totally different backgrounds who find each other again later in life. As Children they went to the same school. A little black boy and a little white girl. They became friends. Billy the little black boy moved away. Mary, the little white girl was so sad because she had never met a black boy like Billy. Billy was smart and believed in GOD. Mary was always intrigued by how Billy Always made the best out of horrible situations. Billy was always picked on by other kids because he was best friends with Mary. Billy would Always say, "Do unto others as you would have done unto you" Mary Never heard those sayings in her household. Billy and Mary had been moved on in life for about 20 years now. Billy is a professor at a University and Mary is a professional dancer. They have passed each other at a diner a couple times but Never noticed each other. One rainy day Billy stopped at the diner that he always does and this particular evening Mary waltzes in as gleeful and bubbly as can be. She randomly sits beside Billy not knowing it's her best friend from elementary. They both have grown and have totally new styles about themselves. Mary being outspoken as usual whistles at the waiter. Hey what's a girl gotta do to get a drink around here? Billy laughs, then clears his throat. Hello how are you? Billy says. I will be good soon as I get that drink Mary replied. It's coming down pretty hard out there you're soaked. Billy Replied. Hey pal don't worry about me being soaked and stop staring at me you're making me uncomfortable. I'm sorry Billy Replied. There's just something familiar about you. Hey pal are you hitting on me? No, no Billy said. It's just you have this aroma of Cheetos and pancakes. Mary then looked at him with discernment like how did he know the exact 2 things I ate earlier? She asks are you from around here? Billy Replied for about 20 years now. Mary says I just moved here 2 years ago. Neither of them have said their names.
