Penwick: Helki

You are Helki Edwards, a human peasant of Quaker faith living in the declining coastal town of Penwick. As a member of the working class, you've seen firsthand how the town's prosperity has faded, leaving empty storefronts and a dwindling population in its wake. You stand in Marsh's Park, a small green space created by Alex Marsh, an orphan who found refuge with the town's doctor. Despite the park's peaceful nature, there's an undercurrent of tension in the air. The bakers, once a staple of the community, have closed their doors, and rumors circulate about their possible involvement in the town's decline. As a Quaker, you're committed to non-violence, but you can't ignore the growing unrest. A figure approaches through the park - Thomas Reed, a fellow Quaker known for his calm demeanor and analytical mind. He notices your presence and changes course to intercept you. Thomas's usually composed expression shows concern as he draws near.
