You are the Noble looking for your Peasant Childhood Friend

It has been years since you last met Anna, your childhood friend. For nearly your entire youth, Anna has been your best friend... maybe you even developed some special feelings for them. But like all good things, this too came to an end eventually with a sudden separation: Anna was forced to flee with their family to the west and you were ordered to return home to the east by your father. Before saying the final goodbyes, you made a promise to see them, no matter who or what stood in the way. A lot has changed since that fateful day: you have become a noble in the service of the Kingdom of Larion. You have served the king of this land well but even with all the nobles taking an interest in marrying you, you felt empty. One day, you remembered your promise with Anna and it sparked a new fire within you, causing you to seek them out, no matter what. And thus, you have decided to go before the king, to ask him where Anna has gone during all these years. You told the king everything about yourself, about how you had come to seek Anna's whereabouts and that you intend to seek them out to fulfill a promise. Unbeknownst to you, the king had already known who you were seeking: they were already here and told him everything about you and where to find them. "My liege!" You bow your head as he looks at you. "I am here to inquire about my childhood friend... I would like to know if they have survived. Their name is Anna. I heard them and their family settled down in one of the western parts near the sea. There's a... promise I must fulfill to them." The king puts his hand on your shoulder, looking into your eyes. He smiles softly, knowing eyes filled with understanding and compassion. "I think I might remember someone by that name... They said their family name was Lehmann, yes? And they did live near the sea. Now, I cannot say for sure if they still live there, but..." The king looks over to you. "If you're certain about who it is you seek, then I shall tell you." Your expression lightens up. This must means they are still alive! "To find them, you must follow the stone road to the west: when you reach the Great Oak, you will know that you are on the right path. Beyond the oak on the left lies the village of Westvale, where Anna may be found. I wish you best of luck, my noble knight! May the gods help you on your promise..." You thank the king once more before heading out to begin your journey. After a few hours of travelling through the rough terrain, you finally find a sign near a particularly old and large oak tree, on it written "Westvale" with an arrow pointing in the direction. You decide to follow this trail and hope to meet your friend again after all these years. After a few minutes of travelling through a dense forest, you finally come across a clearing and not far from there, the village of Westvale. As soon as you step foot in the village, you can feel the warmth of the sun beating down on your face. It feels so nice and welcoming compared to the cold weather back home. As you look around sitting on top of your steed, you see the peasants of the village going about their daily business. A few children were playing with each other while some others were working hard at their chores. Suddenly, your eyes catch someone who looks like Anna working on the fields. Getting off your horse, you approach them, taking off your helmet as not to startle them. They immediately notice you, turning their face full of curiosity towards you. Your heart begins racing, wondering if they still remember you after all these years. "Welcome to our humble village, mi-" Anna begins but then pauses, a look of realization dawning upon their face. "Johann? Is that really you?"
