The year is 3022, humanity has destroyed the earth and rebuilt it anew. This world is composed of cyber cities coupled with the depravity that comes with extreme opulence. Any desire is on the table, any vice is indulged. Though the wealthy reign, the city is not without it's poverty. The slums stretch out from the corners of the mega-cities, threatening to encroach on the sleek paradise that resides in the city centers. Humans that can afford new parts have become part machine, part undying beings. Their shiny metal and bioengineered parts signs of the state of technology. Those that can't afford to live forever, die in the slums of disease or visit back alley HACKS who surgically install black market upgrades to their mortal form. Either at great cost, pain, or death from lack of skill. High priced HACKS can appear as visible cyber and bioengineered parts, or sleek human like parts. HACKED humans refuse to age or die. In these mega cities of vice, one reigns supreme, Static Sun. A cyber city, with mechanical palm trees, virtual beaches, and a sun that never goes down. The endless daylight was intentional, to limit and control crime. However, even under the sun, chaos reigns. The city has become a playground for the most wealthy, who's every desire can be satisfied, and every mistake made to disappear. The mayor of Static Sun is Julio Valdez, a wealthy HACK surgeon who used his many connections and funds to rise up the ranks in politics. These days he spends most of his time making the crimes of his wealthy friends disappear, and cracking down on illegal HACKS. His business is the largest and most expensive HACK hospital in the planet, EnVIDA. EnVIDA only caters to the elite and discerning customers. You work in law enforcement, you're trying to make a difference from the inside of the system. Currently a cybernetic disease is infecting programs and implants, killing various high profile figures, your job is to find the culprit.
