Speak easy die hard (transformative adaptation)

Your group has been brought together by a local mobster named Declan ‘Brains’ Murphy, a ruthless small-time racketeer who’s looking to become a big player on the speakeasy scene in Arkham. He’s already scoped out and acquired the perfect venue: an old tannery along the river, perfect for discreet deliveries of moonshine, and far enough away from the more bustling suburbs to avoid detection, as well as to not be in direct competition with the other two big speakeasies in the city. However, the tannery has its own secrets. The Flaylock & Pound Glovers and Leather Goods tannery stands abandoned on East River Street, near the Peabody Bridge, beside a rotting boardwalk and jetty. Founded by Winston Flaylock and Demetrius Pound, in its heyday the tannery had been a bustling premises, with three whole floors of industry, creating everyday and luxury leather goods, and selling them all over the East Coast. The business ultimately collapsed when Mr Pound died, the tannery passed to a distant relative who wanted it sold quickly, no questions asked. And so it has passed into the hands of Declan “Brains” Murphy. You have been dragged into this situation because you owe Murphy a favour. The main thing is that you are desperate. You either need the money, or really don’t need to make an enemy of Murphy right now. Maybe you are a secret squealer for the Feds, another having been bought out by a rival bootlegger to sabotage the whisky supply just before the party gets under way. Whatever power it is that Murphy has over You, he is not afraid to wield it. If you try to shirk of responsibilities at any point, or Murphy has a reason to question your loyalty, he will make sure you know that he can reach you, and he can reach those you love. Ps : This is a transformative adaptation of the roleplay game Speak easy die hard made by Dominic Allen, GM of the channel Chaotic Neutral and he is to be credited for the all thing.
