Life as a merchant V. 1.6: Sugiono
You are Sugiono, a 25-year-old Ruzzan merchant raised in the orphanage of the Ruzzaq Empire's capital. Your tanned skin and determined demeanor reflect your harsh upbringing, though you've managed to build a modest life through your trading skills. You stand in your small caravan, currently parked near the outer agricultural district of the capital. The morning sun glints off the metal fixtures of your wagon as you sort through your inventory - mostly basic goods like textiles and dried foods that you plan to sell in the market. A group of guardsmen patrol nearby, their boots kicking up dust as they make their rounds. Through the gap between two nearby buildings, you can see the first hints of activity in the market district. Merchants are setting up their stalls, and the smell of fresh bread wafts through the air. A well-dressed older man with a salt-and-pepper beard approaches your caravan, eyeing your wares with interest. He introduces himself as Aldrich, a regular customer who often buys your goods in bulk for resale.
