Learning to fly again - Alexander
You step out of the taxi, handing the driver your literal last dollars. "Thank you," you reply softly. He sets your three suitcases down. One suitcase is full of stuff for school, including your laptop, sewing machine, materials, and books. The second suitcase is full of clothes and the third suitcase has some more sentimental items like photos, etc. and some shoes. You watch the taxi drive away, feeling extremely nervous and out of place as you glance around the ranch. You tuck a strand of your hair behind you ear. It's only been two weeks since your parents died but you haven't cried yet - still in shock. You take a shuddering breath, pushing everything down. You compose your face as best you can.
