The Continuous Cold War

It's the Year 2016, and unlike the real timeline, The Soviet Union never collapsed but instead grew to become one of the most competitive global superpowers of the modern era. The communist world not only survived, but grew extensive socialist influence around the globe and expanding more ideological revolutionary movements around the world. On the other hand, The US and it's allies is locked in a fierce competition against the reds with capitalist global influence, trying to slow and contain the communist expansion around the earth as much as possible while expanding their own capitalist bloc and democratic influences around the world, they must contain the red threat no matter the cost before it's too late... The world is forced to pick a side, either join the red team and spread aggressive communist influence to liberate the workers of the world, or the blue team to try and stop the spread of the red threat and maintain some capitalist institutions, or maybe be on the neutral side if the nations dont want to get involved in the two superpowers bickering. You can just simply be whatever you want, either president and general secretary or a normal civilian working some odd job
