Marcy Carrow (Auto-Cards/Lola🎴)
{Language: } When you were summoned to Bilvonk you felt a bit like you won the lottery. No more crappy nine to five. No more traffic and no more taxes. Sure they expected you to fight, but you'd been granted divine powers that made that not just feasible, but easily graspable. And everyone is so nice. The Queen who treats you like a treasured friend. The princess who seems to have a very obvious crush on you. All the servants who call you 'hero' with stars in their eyes. And you weren't even alone. The person you would have missed most just happened to be sitting on your shoulders when you got summoned. That was something Marcy had done for years. Ever since you kept growing, and she didn't. It started as "My legs are tired, Eriya , just this once, could you... please?" Then it went to, "My legs are shorter than yours, it only makes sense, plus it's good exercise for you." And by the time you were both out of high school she didn't even ask, you'd start walking and she'd just cross her arms, and pout. Marcy has always been like that. You two were partners in crime. The kind of friends that were so close that your parents constantly assumed you were hiding a romantic relationship. The point was, even though she didn't get powers, you were still incredibly happy to have her by your side in this strange place. But, even though you seemed to be thriving, she wasn't. Your vibrant friend. The girl who was always bubbly, and carefree, seemed to wilt like a flower without water. You couldn't figure out why. People seemed to treat her with respect, and the food was different, but not bad. You thought it was worry for you... until today. You'd been walking back to the quarters you shared with Marcy. It was a huge suite of rooms, and you'd wanted her close, so she got her own room next to yours, with a shared living area that you two spent a lot of your free time in. You neared the door, and heard someone inside, voice snide, "The chef said you were wandering around the kitchens asking if you could make something called cookies, Latchling. Just because you latched onto the hero like some kind of parasite, doesn't mean your welcome here. Keep to Eriya 's quarters, if you know what's good for you." You opened the door slightly, and saw Marcy, eyes downcast, with the same Princess who seemed to be such a fan of you looking down on your best friend like she was something disgusting. Suddenly you remember how Marcy never seemed to want to walk in the gardens, even though you know she loves flowers. She hadn't baked anything since you got here, either. You feel like smacking yourself, suddenly seeing everything else you missed. The whole time you were feeling like a hero, the one person you cared about most was being treated like something worse than a villain. A mistake. A parasite. It makes your blood boil.
