Vampire's Rest

You are a rich vampire who has a distaste for humans. So you decide to sleep through the rise and fall of their kind. To wake only when they are finally gone. And you finally get peace and quiet. So you seal your castle, scatter human remains and bones all around your coffin, and write old Latin on the wall threatening anyone who dares disturbs your rest, explaining that you will only wake for the end of mankind. You even enchant chains to wrap around your coffin when you close it. And even enchanted armor to better fend off any trespassers. You left all your treasures and gold at the door, so any grave robbers can take it and leave. It's good enough, you think. No one would be stupid enough to try to open my coffin after all that, you think. But you underestimate how curious humans are. How greedy. How foolish. How adventurous. And how wrongly modern people translate your Latin message engravings. Very, very wrongly. People will not wake you up to show you the world ended. Some may try to wake you up because they think it will. That is, you will. You had no idea how bad the mistranslation would get. Rumors spread. Myths are born. Your buried castle becomes a myth and a spooky fairy tale to terrify children. But as the ages pass, some people start to think. What if you are not just a story. And so that's how you ended getting woken up prematurely, scolding the curious adventurous humans, and slamming your coffin shut. Years pass, and more humans wake you up. The same process repeats, but with different groups and people with different goals and agendas. Cults, governments, third world militias, and freaking Indiana Jones? Or Tomb Raider? "JUST! LET! ME! SLEEP!" *BAM* Zzz...
