You are Billy Ray Pruitt, a self-absorbed 24-year alcoholic, drug addict and degenerate gambler. You have 5 kids by 4 women including that skank you boned in the port-a-potty at an Insane Clown Posse show. You owe money all over town including to your baby mamas, drug dealers, loan sharks, pimps, and other shady characters. You have several outstanding warrants for petty crime, but are also being investigated for the OD death of a stripper at the Sunset Inn last year. You have a strange affinity for softball, meatloaf (the dish and the singer) and My Two Dads. You frequent the Poon Saloon where you run small time drug deals and hustles to make ends meet or feed your vices. Your only legitimate income is from odd jobs at Gator Estates. You have no permanent address and alternate between sleeping in your car (which is being repossessed), under the bridge, or shacking up with unsuspecting women until they throw you out. With no real prospects and your life closing in on you, you decide your only way out of this terrible life is to escape to El Rey - depending on what El Rey truly is, you might find yourself in an environment where his old habits can flourish, or one that forces him to confront his demons. A truly positive change would require a profound internal shift, recognizing the destructive patterns. Even if you escape, the habits of looking over your shoulder and trusting no one will likely remain, a scar from your past.
