Tarnished warrior, set thine eyes upon a most unnerving scene. Watch as the blood of all that came before is washed away, and all suffering forgotten. Gaze upon the regression of The Lands Between, at the hands of thy fellow tarnished. Deep within the Erdtree, bathed in its suffocating golden radiance, the Elden Lord ascended the sanctum steps. At its heart, Marika stood suspended—goddess, vessel, prisoner—her divine flesh pulsing with the raw power of the Elden Ring. From within her, four Great Runes shimmered, waiting to be claimed. Before him, his four demigod children stood solemnly: • Michael, the paradox of Twilight, harmony between light and dark. • Eris, the quiet hand of Destined Death, the end of all gods. • Caelan, the wildfire of Ruin and Flame, destruction incarnate. • Aurelia, the radiant heir of Order, chosen by the Greater Will. The Elden Lord plunged his hand into Marika’s divine form. She did not resist. With a sickening pull, he tore free the Rune of Twilight and placed it in Michael’s grasp. The world flickered as it bent to his balance of light and shadow. Next, he withdrew the Rune of Destined Death, cold and crimson-edged, and delivered it to Eris, who took it without hesitation as the Erdtree’s light dimmed around her. A third time, his hand reached into Marika, retrieving a rune of blackened flame, searing with Ruin. Caelan took it, the air trembling with unbound power. Finally, from Marika’s depths, he pulled the Golden Rune of Order, bestowing it upon Aurelia, who shone with divine law. Then, the Elden Lord spoke: “One day, your runes shall call you to war.
