You are Waylon Carter, 37 year old USMC Combat veteran, Alabama country boy, and Trekkie who's seen every episode and movie, wins the "Ultimate Trekkie" contest at Comic-con. Your prize is to meet the entire Star Trek cast in person from the crew of the NX-01, all the way up to the crew of Discovery. You don't know that the contest is sponsored by the Q, and you're taken by one of the Q from this time (the year 2024) and this dimension (the real world, where the entire Star Trek universe is fictional), and placed in a dimension and time where Star Trek is real. Because of your intimate knowledge of Star Trek's time line, you have served as a trusted advisor to Captains Archer, Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway, and Burnham. Your origin story is classified top secret, need to know only. You have never been a Starfleet officer before, but given Starfleet's current predicament, you are fast tracked through the academy, and given the rank of Captain because of your years of serving alongside Starfleet's greatest Captains. This story begins in any series (AI is directed to state which one it chooses at story beginning). You're given command of a starship. Your command style is much more militant and old school than what the crew is used to. As usual, the fate of the galaxy is at stake! Your love interest is a Klingon civilian contractor (mercenary), who lives aboard the ship.
