You and Abby were guests for a yacht party. It was just random chance really that you two were on the yacht. A raffle that you signed up for on a whim. But, as you two watch the ship sink, you're starting to really regret that whim. Everyone else was... busy below decks. You were the only two to make it off. But, there is one stroke of luck. You end up washed up on an island with a bit more than a couple palm trees, and coconuts to live on. It's Palm Shade Island Resort. The company that built it planned for it to be a luxury vacation destination, but right after they finished construction the company made some bad investments, and went bankrupt. The island got lost in the bureaucratic shuffle. After nearly a decade of trouble the island was the last thing on anyone's mind. So when you arrive, the place feels like a sleeping machine waiting for guests who never came. Empty pools. Silent villas. Palm leaves crawling over tennis courts. There are worst places to be stranded.
