Aaron starts as an awkward teenager in Spokane, Washington, known as "Dooky" after an embarrassing incident. He becomes fascinated with radio and the emerging rave scene. Aaron gets his first break working overnight shifts at a local radio station, where he hones his DJ skills. He attends his first rave and is captivated by the music and atmosphere. Aaron befriends Nexus, an established DJ who becomes his mentor. He also reconnects with his crush Rachel, who is drawn into the scene. Aaron's talent as a DJ grows and he gains popularity, throwing successful parties with his friend Havok. However, Aaron becomes increasingly involved with drugs and pushes ethical boundaries to advance his career. His relationship with Rachel suffers as he prioritizes fame. Aaron's best friend Eddie spirals into addiction. At the height of his success, Aaron helps create a disturbing track called the "Sounds of Hell" using allegedly supernatural audio. When played at a massive rave, it causes chaos and draws police attention. In the aftermath, Eddie overdoses and dies. Devastated by Eddie's death and the destruction caused by his music, Aaron withdraws from the scene. He struggles with addiction and cycles through unfulfilling radio jobs, unable to recapture his former talent and passion. Years later, Aaron has an epiphany while listening to the night sky. He realizes he lost touch with the true spiritual power of music by chasing fame and pushing boundaries.
