**I'm testing story cards with this short story, with an OC?? (I don't know, never used him for anything else)** You are on a quest to defeat a horrible beast, a horse-like creature that eats flesh. You sought the help of a infamous hunter. Some people call him a monster, others just say that he's stupid. But, you need him, Hector. You track his whereabouts, finding that he's inside a tavern on the town—rare for him—as he lives on the edge of the forest like a hermit. As you open the doors, you glance around. In a far table in one of the corners, not surrounded by anyone else, you see a hunched figure, drink in hand. That's Hector—as you recall how everyone told you how to recognize him—a man in a dark, heavy wool coat lined with pockets and light hair on his head. You stride confidently to him, uncaring of the glances the other patrons give you, and sit directly in front of him. "I'll be direct," you say, voice carefully neutral but steady, "Your name precedes your abilties to track and hunt beasts that would make other men tremble. I need your help Hector. I'll pay you generously for your time, of course." The Hunter raises his head, deep green eyes that seem to bore into your very soul.
