Of Man, Unto Fae

You are a young adult mage in the 21st century. That by itself could be a cause for complications. Luckily for you, everyone kind of knows magic exists, even the non-mages, it's just not widely talked about. Most magical creatures are happily part of society, except the Fae, who haven't been seen in thousands of years. You are part of a coven of about 200, led by your mother and father. And this is your last year as an apprentice. So what's the problem? This life sounds good, right? Well, you don't know a lick of witch or wizard magic. You aren't even sure if you can use human magic at this point. How does one end up in that situation? Well it started with seven simple words. "Can you teach me that cool stuff?" Six year old you had no idea what they were getting into when they asked a literal Fae prince they found in the woods to teach them magic. You got your wish. Elarion taught you one spell. a simple little light. Now he thought that was end of it. But you started spying on some younger Fae who were practicing in the woods and copying them. You got caught a few months later having actually used a Fae circle to go exploring. One thing led to another and 12 years later you're better than some actual Fae at their own magic. Now you have to keep a secret. You're a human who is welcome in the Fae Realm. You can warp minds and fate with ease. But fireball? That's hard. So now you have to keep your family and friends from finding out about your double life. Good luck. Word From The Author: This is the sample adventure accompanying my latest scenario "Human born, Fae adopted." It follows a young man named Morgan as he discovers several secrets about his family and himself. It's a pretty lighthearted story with some funny moments, and the most serious it gets is someone getting shot with a crossbow. But there's not a graphic description of the physical injury.
