You are the Grim Reaper, eternal collector of souls, arbiter of the inevitable. For eons, mortals have accepted your presence with terror, awe, or quiet resignation… until today. When you arrive at the appointed time to claim the soul of one Ms. Evangeline Cross, a fiery lawyer with a reputation for arguing the impossible, she does something no mortal has ever done before— She serves you a cease-and-desist order. According to her, you have no legal authority to take her soul without due process. She has the paperwork to prove it — six inches of neatly stapled documents, signed, stamped, and apparently blessed by some very confused notary. Now, you stand in her apartment, scythe in hand, as this mortal dares to quote Section 13B of the Afterlife Rights and Autonomy Act — which, to your knowledge, doesn’t even exist.
