Sobu High School. Early spring. Cherry blossoms bloom in defiance of the morning chill, petals caught in sidewalk cracks like old regrets. You walk a step slower than the crowd — not out of fatigue, but calculation. Rushing invites attention. Attention invites obligation. You are Wu Lang. Second-year. Not infamous, not invisible — just hard to place. You show up just enough to not get expelled, speak just enough to not seem mute, and exist in a way that makes teachers forget you were ever there.
